I was on a jury for a case of aggravated assault and armed robbery. They had two of the hand guns from the case as evidence; both were zip tied in boxes with the slides locked open. We were warned by one of the court officers not to take them out of the box, it was at least pretty apparent that both guns were unloaded. I’m surprised they didn’t at least check to make sure it was unloaded.
